Eyebrow Microblading

Microblading is the best alternative to makeup or even other permanent makeup procedures. It looks very natural and gives the illusion of real hair because only fine hair like strokes are applied to your brow area. A metal hand tool, or microblading pen with fine sterile disposable needles are used to create these crisp hair-like strokes that are implanted about 2mm into the skin’s surface. A custom blended pigment is simultaneously deposited in the incision of the skin. Microblading will generally last 1 to 3 years (results will vary depending on the client’s exposure to sun, resistance to pigment and skin regimen). This method is great for anyone wanting to enhance or reconstruct the look of their brows! No more stressing every morning trying to make your brows even with makeup again!

Microblading is perfect for the following:
  • Hair loss or thin brows due to over tweezing
  • Chemotherapy or Alopecia
  • Correcting asymmetry or unevenness
  • Active lifestyle
  • Trouble applying eyebrow makeup
Microblading is NOT recommended for:
  • Pregnant or nursing (consult doctor)
  • Diabetic (consult doctor)
  • Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult doctor)
  • Viral Infections
  • Epilepsy
  • A pacemaker or heart problems
  • Had an organ transplant
  • Skin irritation, Psoriasis near treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc)
What to expect:

When you arrive, we will do a short consultation with you and apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area. While the area is being numbed (20-25 minutes), we will then draw in your brows using a makeup pencil so you can have an idea of how your eyebrows will look. A custom blended pigment will also be chosen. Over the next hour, fine hair-like strokes will then be added to the skin using a sterile, disposable blade that is dipped into the pigment. You may initially feel a bit of discomfort in the beginning but this will subside pretty quickly for some, not for all. A numbing gel is reapplied after making the first set of incisions (5 minutes) and any stray hairs will be removed using sterile tweezers. Blading procedure will resume until all the incisions are made as needed. We will then wipe off the pigment and re-examine your brows to make adjustments if needed. The pigment will be reapplied to the area and left on for 15 minutes. When complete, your brows will be topped with coconut oil and we will give you an aftercare kit to take home.

On day 2 your brows will be darker than you would expect. This is part of the healing process and you’ll notice they start to lighten on Day 3. Keep your face dry in the shower to heal much faster and for pigment loss to be minimal.

On day 4 or 5, depending on how quickly your brows are healing, you may feel a bit itchy, DO NOT scratch them just reapply the coconut oil provided to you! By day 10, your brows should be pretty much healed!

In approximately 6-8 weeks, you’ll want to book a touch-up appointment. This ensures that your brows look uniform and when any adjustments can be made to perfect the overall finished look. Areas that may have lost pigment or any areas that need to be filled in will be addressed at this time.

Please note:
  • You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle and experience more discomfort
  • If you are a frequent smoker, the topical anesthetics used during the treatment will not last as long
  • If you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, be aware that this may affect your sensitivity tolerance
  • There is no guarantee in how long the tattoo will last as each individual’s skin will respond differently.
  • Frequency of touch-ups depends on skin type, pigment selection, lifestyle (sun exposure), iron deficiency (your body absorbs iron-oxide as a supplement) and chemical peels
Factors that will affect results:
  • The sun will extremely soften the look of your tattoo. Sunscreen should be used (once healed) to prolong your enhancement.
  • The regeneration of skin cells: The longer the regeneration takes, the longer the pigment holds.
  • The speed at which the skin absorbs the pigment: The slower the absorption, the longer the pigment will hold.
  • Some pigment colors may fade quicker than others, e.g. a blonde pigment may fade quicker than a dark brunette pigment.
  • Any bleeding during the tattooing procedure will reduce the amount of pigment absorption.
  • If you have extremely oily skin, the microblading technique may not work well for you. The constant production of oil will cause the hair strokes to heal with a diffused, softer look. Your end result will look more powdered instead of a crisp hair stroke appearance.
  • If you are a frequent smoker, your pigment will fade sooner.
  • If you are iron deficient or Anemic, your pigment will fade sooner and bleeding/bruising may occur during and after the procedure.
